Knowledge is Winning

If there is a disagreement between two people based on something factual, and both have an opinion but are not totally certain, it’s best to make it about  more information versus less information. 

That way, in the discovery of the truth, both people will win.

If they make it about who is right and who is wrong, then there has to be a loser.

The loser will then be less inclined to keep learning with the winner, especially if there’s gloating involved.

Let the goal be knowledge, not winning.
