Daily Choices that Lead to Happiness
Choosing to say 'no' to others may be a 'yes' to your own peace.
Ask yourself:
1. What do I want? (e.g., more rest, quiet mornings, space to think)
2. What do I agree to? (e.g., only one social event a week, not answering emails after 6 PM)
We often agree to things that our souls didn't sign up for. There are some obligations and responsibilities that we absolutely have to agree to, but there are a lot that we don't.
If you are agreeing to things that you don't want out of a fear of disappointing others, this will lead to you feeling powerless, resentful, and burnt out.
It doesn't have to be all or nothing. You can decide to do some things but not all. This alone will lighten your mental load and emotional toll.
This week, take a moment to look at the difference between what you truly want and what you are actually agreeing to.
Happiness happens in the alignment of the two.
