What 3 things do you see first? Your answers reveal your current mindset.

Within the Mind - Nightime Cabin

The first three things you notice reveal your current state of mind.

Look at the image and make a note of the first three things you notice. There are no wrong answers. Notice things generally or specifically.

Read below for your interpretation.

If you noticed:

The darkness: you are a realistic person and make observations without judgment.

The luxury cabin: you appreciate and admire efforts in quality. This isn't materialistic, you prefer and respect things to be well-made.

The small lamp: you are an optimist. You will always notice the bright side to any dark situation, no matter how small it may seem.

The four kitchen pendant lights: you look for symmetry, patterns, and order in yourself, others, and in life. If something seems out of alignment or out of character, you will usually be the first to notice.

The people: you prioritize relationships over where you are, what you are doing, or what you have. You value connection.

One person is carrying one bag, one is carrying two, one is carrying none: you notice when things are unfair and will try to make things right when you do. This shows compassion.

The mountain, sky/clouds, and/or lake: you see the bigger picture and know that it's always beautiful. If you saw the mountain, you don't tend to get bogged down in details and you don't let little things get under your skin. If you saw the sky or clouds, you tend to rise above and trust in Faith to get you through frustrations. If you saw the lake, your bigger picture is found in depth, or deeper meaning. You understand there are many perspectives.

The television: you may be in need of a little escape or distraction from reality right now. On television, we can temporarily transport ourselves to another time, another place, or another world. During times of grief or even high stress, a distraction can be a good thing and prevent overwhelm.

The books above the television: you seek to learn something every day. You are observant and inquisitive, and an avid reader. You have knowledge of many things and don't see reading or learning as something you are pressured to do, you just like to learn about interesting and important things.

The kitchen sink or range hood: you value nourishment and physical self-care and care for others. It is work, but you see it as necessary.

The couches: you need some comfort and rest. Not sleep, necessarily, but just some time to unwind in peace.

The plants: you like to nurture and are patient with growth, both in yourself and with others.

The lights across the lake: you sometimes become curious or aware of other people's lives over your own. You may see it as information, but remember that comparison is never really accurate. We never see the full picture of anyone else's life besides our own.

The open doorway: you are aware that your inner world is directly connected to your outer world. Change within and the outside will change.

The ceiling beam: you appreciate structure and safety. You notice immediately when you feel either is not present.

The knife block: you are protective and scan areas for any possible threats. You seek to prevent bad things from happening.

Your current state of mind is a mix of your beliefs, past experiences, and present situations. By staying aware of your state of mind, you can course correct when needed, and make decisions that are best for you in both the short and long-term.
