How to Deal with Uncertainty

There are times in life when a realization hits that what we thought was what we wanted isn't going to be in the current surroundings. Whether it's a job, relationship, friendship, or even something within ourselves, that hope, positive expectancy, feeling of being patient or working towards fruition disappears with the realization that it's not going to happen.

At that point, there's a shift.

Emotionally and mentally if not also physically. It may not be physically possible to just leap on out at the same time the mind and heart have. Obligations, contracts, not sure which direction to go...so there's a disconnect.

But the longer you stay in place physically, the more difficult it will become to make the necessary moves. You'll get used to settling for the new normal.

But what do you do when the door of the old life has closed behind you but the road ahead is completely uncertain?

Well, start by exploring yourself...getting to know you.

Journal. Write down random thoughts, things you're disappointed about, whatever comes to mind. Get the static out. After it's cleared, write down what you want. In your ideal life, with no limitations of courage or money or other people's hurt feelings, what would you want?

A lot of people don't even get that far because it feels so incredibly awkward and uncomfortable to change long term long time habits. And to face and confront the truth of disappointment and acceptance is a look into a dark closet. It feels like it's full of possible blame or regret and that it's going to hurt. But really, what hurts is never looking there and reaching the end of life, looking back at where you resigned and wishing you hadn't.

So start to explore who you are and what you want.

Sometimes Law of Attraction stuff seems so unrealistic because it's not made crystal clear that the internal energy is the draw and that it is never instant. Sometimes it's fast, don't get me wrong, but it would be pretty awful if every time you had a fleeting thought it came true instantly.

When you are at a peaceful and strong center of energy within, you'll be less rash, less reactive, and less desperate. See all those energies attract fast change, but they result in rash, reactive, desperate outcomes. Those are the ones people look back to what they "had" and see it as better than what they ended up with. Then they get scared to make any other changes in the future because of how poorly those desperate ones turned out. It was never the decision to make a choice and to follow through, it was the energy that was acted on.

What do you eat when you're starving? Just about anything.

Where do you turn when you don't know where you're going? The road that looks easiest in that moment.

What clothes do you put on in the dark? Whichever are closest.

So you've got to mentally and emotionally fulfill, decide, and enlighten yourself about who you are and what you want before you make big changes. Depending on how well you know yourself and know what you don't want, it may be a lot faster than you'd imagine. Get started, get going, keep at it.

Your beautiful future is waiting to be created.
