In your garden

Which is the better garden?

1. One that allows one or more people to come in, pluck everything, never water or weed it, stomp all over it, and allow the weeds to grow

or

2. One that gives, allows others to tend to it, water it, and care for it?

If you allow people in who only take, rarely think of you or nourish you with kind words or care, that's not being a good person. It's being self-deprivng and will eventually lead to your needs not being met and emotional burnout.

Having needs doesn't make you needy, it makes you human.

If you balance your giving and kindness with asking and receiving the same care and consideration, you will continue to thrive and be able to give for a lifetime.

If you're feeling depleted, it may be time to check who you're allowing into your garden.
