Drowning in negativity?

If you are afraid that you may drown in negativity, please remember that you can swim. Find the positive in any situation and focus on it as best you can. ~Doe Zantamata
Sometimes life can get pretty overwhelming. You feel like you're doing all you can and just not getting anywhere...like treading water.

By taking some time to just relax, do some deep breathing, meditate, that overwhelming feeling of despair will lessen.

Try to look at things objectively, as if they were happening to someone else, and see what might be positive in them. There is always somethin
g.

If something isn't working and it's costing you a lot of energy, figure out a way to change your role in it, or to have it less of a part of your life.

Try to think of what your actions will lead to in the future. Are they really going towards better things, or are they just going to keep up until you run out of energy to keep them up?

We don't often think of plans for our lives, aside from retirement. Shorter term goals are helpful, as they give you something to work toward, instead of just working. Once reached, they let you know that although it seemed day-to-day that not much was done, you have accomplished your goal.

Your health and your state of mind are so very important. Waking up every day and having to head back to the panic steals your joy. Living that way will lead to either giving up or burning out. You cannot do everything. You can only do your best, and your best includes some time to take care of yourself. They're not adding any more hours to the day, so you're going to have to make a little more time for you.

You are worth it.
